Following are the first in what will be a recurring series called, “Snapshots & Snippets,” little fragments of life caught in a photo and text combo. Sometimes the connection between image and words will be obvious, literal. Other times…not so much. Enjoy!

“¿Qué es un selfie?”
“I’ll show you Mama. Just look at the phone. You too, Mom. Let’s bring our heads together close. Say cheese!”
“Wait! I’m not ready!” Click. That younger generation. Always in a rush.

SELF-PORTRAIT
I never thought of myself as pretty. There were always prettier ones. It didn’t even seem to matter what one’s definition of “pretty” was. But I dressed up and showed up and drank the pretty girl’s wine.

Huge creative credit to one of my writing mentors, Laurie Wagner ( www.27powers.org), whose online class “Story Slices”, totally inspired this blog entry. I’d love to use the name “Story Slices”, but hey, she came up with it first!
More of my “Snapshots & Snippets” to come in the future.
Love these. Especially the 3 generations. Would love to have heard the actual verbal exchange. See you soon at Eanlai’s.
